Prayers During Fast
Here is a suggested outline of prayers you could say during your fast.
Please try to say them from your heart & not just recite them meaninglessly.
Also do pray in tongues if you are led, as it is a powerful means of intercession.
Thank you once again for joining us in intercession.
Remember you can never outgive God!
The more you give, the more you will receive.

For the Victims : Heavenly Father, we offer unto you, the souls of all those lost in the Tsunami Disaster. We ask you, the author of all time, to reach out to them & bless them with the gift of eternal life. We ask you that they may have repented of all their sins before their death. We believe you love each one of them and desire each soul saved, so hear us as we make this prayer, through Jesus Christ your Son, by the power of the Holy Spirit, Amen.
For the Survivors : Dear Father God, there are still so many survivors who are in urgent need of our prayers. We pray for the survivors who:
• Are languishing in Hospitals that are ill equipped to help them - Father heal them & may they get the medical help and assistance they need in time. Be with them in this time of pain & agony.
• Are in need of the basic necessities - God we believe you came to give us life in abundance. We pray for our brothers and sisters who do not have even basic food, drink, clothing or shelter. We ask you to bless them with all they need to live a joy filled life.
• Are separated from loved ones - Father in your uniting love, unite them with their families and loved ones, wherever they maybe.
• Have lost loved ones - Father help them to cope with their loss. Help them to see your love for them even through these circumstances. Help them to be aware of the fact that you are always with them.
• Have lost their homes & all their property - Lord, we pray for all these people who have lost everything they owned. So many of them have even lost their sources of livelihood. As they seek to rebuild their lives all over, be there with them, guide them, console them.
• Are at risk of disease - Even thought the Tsunamis are over, many of the survivors are still at risk of being killed by the various diseases that have spread as a result. Please protect these people with the Precious Blood of Jesus and keep them safe from all further harm.
• Have been mentally affected - God, you alone know the extent that the damage has done to the survivors mentally. We ask you to bless them and keep them free from all sorts of depression, panic attacks, irrational fears etc. Fill their minds with the knowledge of your love for them.
• Have been spiritually affected - Dear Lord, so many of the survivors will question your existence and whether you really love them or not. We ask you to show them your love in a very real way. We also ask you to shower upon each one of them the grace to realize your love and accept it.
For the Families of the Victims & Survivors : Dear Lord, so many all over the world have lost their family members & loved ones through this tragedy. We pray that they are able to come to terms with their loss and to come out positive even through these negative times. We pray also for those with surviving family members and loved ones, that they are able to reach out to them with love in this their time of need.
For all those offering aid in any way : Lord we lift up to you all the world organizations who are offering aid in various ways to the people affected by the tsunamis. We pray that they are able to reach out in time to the people who need their help. We pray that they are able to bring the correct and right aid necessary for the people.
We also pray for the people all over the world who are funding this aid through donations. We pray that you continue to bless them with the grace to give. We ask you to block out all evil sources that may misappropriate money sent as donations.
We finally pray for all the others who have joined in this three month fast. We thank you Lord that we are united as one body in prayer. Hear our prayers Lord and bless us and our families with all that you desire for us.
We offer this tiny sacrifice of our fast and ask you to grant all our petitions.
We make all these prayers to you, our Heavenly Father, through your Son, our Saviour Jesus Christ, by the power of the Lord Holy Spirit. Amen.
