He sang to me (Part 2 of the Birthday Trilogy)
I sat in the chapel. The time was 11.30 pm. I had already decided to start my birthday in the Presence of the Lord, both when the clock struck 12 and when I woke up first thing the next day - a not so difficult task as I stay in an Ashram.
But I couldn't pray. It wasn't that I was tired or sleepy. It just didn't happen. It wasn't that I was experiencing a dry spell. It just didn't happen. So I just sat there.
And then some girls, who were part of the24 hr intercession group, started to sing. Only that it wasn't them singing. It was Jesus. It was the hymn "Oh the Word of the Lord" and I could hear Him singing to me...
"Before I formed you in the womb
I knew you through and through
I chose you to be mine
Before you left your mothers side
I called to you my child
to be my sign"
"I know that you are very young
But I will make you strong
I'll fill you with my Word
and you will travel through the lands
fulfilling my commands
which you have heard"
Jesus is truly Wonderful, always knowing what's on our minds, always being all we could ever need, all we could ever want ~ and I can personally vouch for Him being an AMAZING singer
